    JOB We can make .chm file from single/multiple word files. This file can be used as a help or eBook.

    REQ Windows HTML Help Workshop (Generally available in Windows) Chm Processor (Can be downloaded free) STEPS 1. Run <CHM Processor>. Go to tab <source files>. 2. Add the word file (say word1). Click <Generate help project> radio button. Browse up for the desired location. 3. Click <generate>. After completion click <Accept>.

    Now we can find some files along with an HTML file (Often named as 1.htm). You may keep it as it is or rename as word1. 4. Similarly generate the project files from other word file. But each time select a new/different folder. And that folder should be empty, otherwise all the content will be deleted automatically during the process. 5. Close the program <chm processor>. 6. Now suppose we have total 3 different projects (folder) from 3 different word files1. Now copy all the content from all the folder into a single folder (say Final). Rename the files during copy if necessary (keep both).

    7. Press start button. Type HTML Help Workshop. Right click on it. Select Run as Administrator. Click Yes. 8. <File> <New>. In the pop-up window select <project> <ok> <next>. 9. <Browse> give the folder path for final. Give a project name suppose MyProject. <Next>. 10. Put tick in the <Html file>. <Next>. <Finish>.

    12. Then give a name to the Table of Contents file. Select the same folder. 13. (Optional).

    14. Then click book symbol (Insert Heading). Give a topic name. <Ok>. 15. Click the ? Symbol (insert page). Enter the title. Select the desired .htm file.

    16. Similarly select rest topics and pages. 17. (Optional). Go to the index tab. Create an index in the same folder. Give the keywords. 18. Again go to project tab. Provide the .htm file for the default page. <Ok>.

    19. <File> <save project>. Then compile.

    20. You will get the completion message.

    21. Go to the folder final. Now you can get the desired (MyProject.chm) file. Keep this file in the desired location. Now in that folder (final) you may delete rest of the files.
