Often, people sign up for lessons, curious, as to whether they would enjoy playing the drums.
(usually it’s the question “CAN they play the drums?”) after the preliminaries e.g. holding the sticks,
sitting at the drum set, identifying various components of the drum set, and how they work. I would say
"If you were to quit drum lessons tomorrow, this would be the one drum pattern I’d want you to walk away with"
