Using Wordle to Analyze Literature The Great Gatsby

Wordle (http://www.wordle.net) creates word pictures from a given text. The wordle above was created by pasting the first chapter of The Great Gatsby into wordle. The sizes of words in the picture are dependent upon the number of times words are used in the text.

1. Choose 1 word from the Wordle above and use it to discuss/analyze the first chapter. 2. Sort 20 -25 of the words into categories you create. Such categories could include: character words, adjectives, verbs, or setting words. You decide on the categories based on the patterns you see in the Wordle. 3. Write a sentence describing Fitzgeralds style based on your word sort. We will use our sentence to beg in analyzing Fitzgeralds work.
