ORIGAMI EGG CUP

I've seen a picture of an origami egg cup on the internet once and it looked so nice, that I wanted to try to design one myself.

Step 1:
This is the front of the paper, the backside is completely white. Turn the paper.

Step 2:

Make mountain- and valleyfolds over these 4 lines. Unfold each fold after you've made one.

Step 3:
Make a valley-fold over these 4 lines.

Step 4:
First, make a valley-fold over the 2 lines below, on the right. Then, make a mountain-fold over the 2 lines in the middle. And make a valley-fold over the 2 lines on top, on the left. You get a sort of basic shape

by doing this.

Step 5:
Make a valley-fold over this line.

Step 6:
Unfold the model until it has the same shape as in step 4.

Step 7:
Here the model has the same shape as in step 4, but now the white side is below.

The center of the model has to be folded down by making mountain-folds over these lines. You don't need to make new folding lines until step 10, everything is prefolded.

Step 8:
Here a part of the folds in step 7 is already done.

Step 9:
Here a little more of the folds in step 7 is done. Press the 2 corners at the large arrows towards each other. Then, press the 2 edges indicated by the smaller arrows towards each other, in the direction of these arrows. The model gets back in the

same shape it had in step 5, but now the center is folded downwards.

Step 10:
Make a valley-fold over this line.

Step 11:
And make the piece a little more shorter by making a valley-fold over this line.

Step 12:
Repeat step 10 and 11 on the other 3 same pieces of the

model. Then arrange these 4 loose pieces the same as I did in ` step 13.

Step 13:
Make an inside reverse fold over these 3 lines. Do this by making a mountainfold over the line in the middle and a valley-fold over the other 2 lines. You actually just pull the corner indicated by the arrow downwards when you make these folds.

Step 14:
Repeat step 13 on the other 3 same corners of the model, see arrows.

The egg cup is ready!
