PERFORM ZERO CHECK OF TRANSMITTER ON LINE USING DIGITAL MULTIMETER AND HAND TOOLS,SO THAT THE ACCURACY IS WITHIN MANUFACTRER'S SPECIFICATION ENABLING REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skill, Attitude and Safety) Knowledge of :- Types of transmitter - Permit to work procedures - Location of transmitter - Types of tools required Ability to :- Identify transmitter to be checked - Identify valves to be closed - Select tools to be used if required TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS

SUB/TASKS/STEPS 1 Isolate transmitter by closing valves on impulse line

- Valve wrench - Gloves

Open vent valves

Knowledge Of :- Location of vent valves - Pressure in impulse line - Type of medium in impulse line Ability To :- Identify location of vent valve Attitude :- Open vent valve slowly Safety :- Safe working practice - Drain liquid from transmitter into a pail - not onto the floor
