Elementary Teacher (grades 3,4,5), 8/94 to present I completed my student teaching in November of 1993 at Woodlawn just prior to my graduation from the University of South Florida in December of 1993. I was a substitute throughout Pinellas County Schools in the winter and spring of 1994. I was hired as a full-time teacher at Woodlawn Elementary in August of 1994. I have taught grades 3-5 at Woodlawn over the past 18 years. Most of my teaching experience has been looping between 4th and 5th grades. I was also part of Woodlawns Multiage team for five years from 1995-2000. For one year, from 2009-2010 I was Woodlawns Math and Science Curriculum Coach. I have been the team leader for each grade level team Ive worked with for fifteen of the past seventeen years. Notable Highlights All Yearly Teacher Performance Evaluations have been outstanding from current and past administrators. Served as School Improvement Team facilitator, working closely with administration, for nine of the seventeen years at Woodlawn. Worked to ensure follow through with School Improvement Plan goals and activities as well as work with others to ensure continual improvement of school procedures and processes. Strong classroom management skills including ability to motivate, provide incentives, and interventions to best suit the needs of each differing class from year to year. Consistently seek to work with others on my grade level team to provide a cohesive and strong grade level curriculum and program through collaborative planning. Actively served on a variety of school committees such as curriculum area committees, discipline, and staff hospitality. Have been a goal manager for the School Improvement Plans Science Goal and Activities and facilitated Teacher Inquiry projects for our school in conjunction with the University of Florida Lastinger Institute for several years. Able to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, fellow teachers and school administrators/staff.
