    Failed Redesign

    Trial mix will be carried out and witnessed by QA/QC staff or site engineer- test cube samples obtained from trial mix shall be tested for 7th and 28th days before concrete can be used for site used

    During concreting, slump test need to be carried out for each truck load of concrete. Result shall be recorded by using site delivery record Standard Specification for Road works and Addendum (SSRW), 3 test cubes shall be randomly taken from the concrete mixer truck. Rate of sampling shall follow table 9.8 of SRRW and each test cube must be recorded by using site sample record form (Appendix B) Requirement of concrete strength under SSRW: Average 28th days compressive strength shall exceed Approval by consultant specified characteristics strength by at least 0.5 times the current margin - For concrete grades 20 and above, current margin shall be 12MPa - For Grade 30, 40, and 50 concrete, the average 28th days compressive strength shall be 36MPa, 46MPa and 56MPa respectively -
