Trenton Water and Sewer Utility March 5, 2009 Dear Trenton Water Utility Customer: As part of the major upgrade under way at our filtration plant, the Trenton Water Utility is ere from using a powdered fluoride additive to the use of liquid beginning in May 2009. Because the new system for providing that liquid fluoride _ additive is now being put in place, | am notifying you that the water in our system will receive its next fluoride additive on or before May 1St. Due to the equipment conversion process, we stopped adding powdered fluoride last August 2008. Please know there is no legal nor regulatory obligation to add fluoride to the water. However, we wanted to ensure that you were notified that we have had to temporarily suspend our fluoride additive and expect to resume this April. (You may wish to consult your dentist for additional recommendations.) In the meantime, we are proceeding with our water utility puree as rw of the filtration plant improvement project.
