On a new sheet of paper Choose one of the thesis statements you wrote yesterday. If it was incorrect, fix it. Ex: (Cause and Effect) The popularity of SUV's in America has caused an increase in pollution. You are going to construct a full argument 3-4 body paragraphs: Argument 1 (Emotional Appeal) This dircetly affects the next generation, your children. Argument 2 (Ethical Appeal) If you care about your nation and its standing in the world, you will protect it. Counter-argument SUV's may not be the main source of pollution in America. Argument 3 (this will refute your counterargument) (Logical Appeal) While SUV's are not the main contributors, it is only logical that if we reduce the amount of SUV's on the roads, pollution will decrease. Choose a type of appeal for each argument.
