I am Randolph A. Cobarrubia, a graduating BS Architecture student from the University of the Philippines College of Architecture. I am currently taking up Arch 199.1 also known as Architectural Design IX or Thesis. Incidentally, I live and grew up in Tanza, Cavite. This year's theme for the thesis is Service Oriented Architecture. Given such nature of theme made me think of doing an architectural research about a trade school which will cater promising out of school youth. This would benefit not only the lucky students who will be selected but also the improvement of skilled manpower of Cavite. This would be very helpful in the long run since we have so much historical heritage sites in the province and restoration of such structures essentially requires skilled workers. Other local trades such as marine carpentry; boat making and others that could prove significant would be included in the project. Details of the research undertaking are still on the process of being finalized. The U.P. College of Architecture has approved my topic entitled "Escuela Taller Cavite" and it is needed to find a site for the theoretical project. In line with this, I would like to humbly request your good office in providing a good site for the said project. It must at least be 6,000 sqm. in area and preferably near the Kawit Municipal Hall. Land title copies and other documents that will provide technical information on the site will be highly appreciated. Rest assured that it will only be used for the thesis project.
