Printmaking is an art form where you can make multiple copies of something through contact with a matrix such

as a block, plate, stone, or through a stencil. There are many different kinds of printmaking such as lithography, intaglio printing, and relief printing and screenprinting. He started making films in 1960. On July 3, 1968 he was shot by actress Valerie Solanos, but luckily survived. He continued his career by painting, publishing a magazine and many books about pop art and himself. On February 21, 1987, Warhol unpredictably passed away from a gall bladder surgery. Warhols artwork of Marilyn Munroe (Figure) is one of my favorites because he used very vibrant and bold colors such as the yellow that emphasizes her hair. I also admire how the shadows are black because it really makes her face and her hair pop up. Although I dislike the background color because its very similar to the color of her eye shadow.
