Introduction
Active filter is a circuit that is designed to pass a specified band of frequencies while attenuating all the signals outside that band. Filter circuits are used in a wide variety of applications. In the field of telecommunication, band-pass filters are used in the audio frequency range (0 kHz to 20 kHz) for modems and speech processing. High-frequency bandpass filters (several hundred MHz) are used for channel selection in telephone central offices. The filters are basically classified as active filter and passive filters. The active filter circuit uses the active elements such as op-amps, transistors along with the resistors inductors and capacitors. The modern active filter does not use inductors as the inductors are bulky and heavy and non linear. The primary function of a filter is signal processing especially to remove unwanted frequencies or separate the wanted frequency Active filters have become a viable alternative for controlling harmonic levels in industrial and commercial facilities. There are some positive aspect of active filter such as the flexibility of gain adjustment can be achieved with very low effort by varying effort. But on the other hand there is only limited bandwidth. Although the adjustment of one parameter really dose not affect the filter
