L’installazione del NetXplorer ha dei requisiti minimi e dei requisiti consigliati per

l’installazione.
Ad es. per la verisone 8.1.0:
Minimum Specifications

• Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz o superiore

• Intel Chipset based (925 or 955)

• 2 GB RAM DDR Dual channel

• 1 x 80 GB HDD, 8 MB Cache (SATA interface recommended)

• Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (US English)

Recommended Specifications

• DUAL Xeon 2.8 GHz and up

• 4 GB RAM DDR Dual channel

• Raid (RAID 0) controller con minimo 128 Mb RAM

• 5x36 GB HDD SCSI U320 15k RPM o maggiore

• Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (US English)

Tra i requisiti software i seguenti:

• I programmi di antivirus, deframmentazione o backup software devono essere

disabilitati sul NetXplorer oppure bisogna escludere il pah dove è stato installato
il software e il DB Allot daai controlli

• Necessario il Java SDK 1.6

• Consigliato non installare sullo stesso server altri databases

• La porta 80 del server non deve essere utilizzata da altre applicazioni

Per quanto riguarda l’installazione del NetXplorer su un server virtuale, possiamo dire
che è possibile e non vengono riportati problemi noti.
Allot tuttavia non supporta ufficialmente questo tipo di installazione dato che eventuali
problemi di performance possono essere legati all’ambiente virtuale e quindi non
facilmente analizzabili dal loro supporto.
Questo quanto riportato a tal proposito sul sito Allot:

Yes, it is possible to install NetXplorer Server software on a machine using a virtual server in
Windows 2003. The installation process and software usage remains similar to a normal
version.
Please note that using VM reduces the products performance and capabilities, so it should be
used only if there is no other alternative.
While installing NetXplorer on a virtual server can produce a working system in some scenarios,
Allot does neither recommend nor support installing the NetXplorer in a virtual server
environment. Allot will still fully support the NetXplorer server software, but not any issues
related to the virtual environment.
