TO THE STUDENT TEACHER: Good morning Ms. Kevan! I am so excited to be visiting Room 215 again. The students were very attentive during your Writing lesson. They made connections and participated through the entire lesson. (I was impressed with the students asked Isnt a draft something you do in the Army?) I really like the way you handled the chatty students. You briefly reminded them to focus but did not waste time. You seem like a natural while teaching this difficult subject. I can tell that you are comfortable with the content and material. I really like that you called three students to the board to provide examples of descriptive sentences. Students love having the opportunity to work at the board. During work time, you managed the questions well and worked the room. I like the way you encouraged students by pushing them to raise their hand. These students seem to be looking for constant affirmation that they are on track. This is common when you are dealing with intelligent children. They are used to getting things correct and have a hard time thinking creatively for fear that it might not be perfect. Great lesson! I will be making my final observation on Tuesday, May 17th and we will finalize all documents at that time. Please make sure you mark your calendar for the Student Teacher Reception on Thursday June 2nd at 5:00 p.m. TO THE CLASSROOM SUPERVISING TEACHER Good morning Ms. Haney! I am always excited to be visiting your classroom. The students worked hard this morning. Ms. Kevan kept them on task and did not waste any time. Thank you for your continued support. I will be making my last visit on Tuesday May 17th in the morning. I will plan to be here at 8:35 a.m. We will finalize all documents during my next visit. I will collect the Cooperating Teachers Evaluation from you too.
