Dear User, Since writing the manual there have been a number of important additions and cha nges

to Typing Tutor Pro. Lessons Program: The 'About' option has been removed from the menu. The 'Advance d Lessons' option has been added. Also, the 'Recommend a Lesson' will suggest a le sson that the user can type, to improve weaknesses. This will work only if the user has made a lot of mistakes on certain keys on the keyboard. If there is a suitable lesson available to help remedy the weakness, then the tutor will appear and load in that lesson. Otherwise, nothing will happen when this option is selected. When beginning a lesson, the Metronome will only w ork when the user presses the on/off button located at the bottom of the Metronome window. Th is toggles between on and off. The slider alters the speed accordingly. Use the combo-box t o select the '.WAV' file to use as the click. Note: You can use your own '.WAV' files by copy ing them into the Typing Tutor Pro directory and selecting them from the metronome. Don't use file s that contain long samples as the entire sample will not be heard! Do not use the Metr onome if using the PC-Speaker driver as this freezes Windows every time the sample is played i.e. only have it if you use a Soundblaster card (or other sound card which plays digital samples) with Windows. Games: These have changed to make them more playable. Please read the hyper-text help file for more instructions. Timetable: Only the registered Windows user can plan times here. No other users may use the timetable, so it will not run from the control panel if it is selected by any ot her user. The lesson structure has been altered, there are now 44 lessons which are larger in content. The Advanced Lesson program is now split into three windows. The text typed by t he student appears in the top window. Instructions appear in the middle window. Finally, th e student must type what appears in the bottom window. The program is run from the lessons prog ram in the options menu. To load a lesson, choose the Load Lesson option on the menu. Selec t the desired lesson type from the pull down menu. A list box will appear in the top window. S elect a lesson from this and begin following the lesson.
