Antiderivatives

Definition A funtion F is called an antiderivative of f on an interval I if F ' ( x) = f ( x) for all x in I.

Theorem If F is an antiderivative of f on an interval I, then the most general antiderivative of f on I is F ( x) + c where C is an arbitrary constant. Make a table for the function f and its derivative f for the derivatives that you have learned. From this table, make a table for the function F and its antiderivative f Show that the general antiderative of f ( x) = x n is F ( x) = x n+1 +c n +1
