Bearing specialist igus has increased its heavy duty (HD) clip spherical bearing range to four different sizes. The new sizes in the HD clip bearing range can now allow for applications with very high radial and axial loads which are found in a variety of machine and plant systems. The advantages of the new clip bearings are that they require minimal installation space, are very easy to fit, as they simply clip into a punched hole in a plate, there is no need for additional axial locking, and they work well for both for linear and rotational movements. Moreover, due to the extra dimensions that igus has added to this range, HD clip bearings can now obtain a maximum pivot angle of 28 degrees and can be fitted into plates as thick as 8mm. This is ideal for exterior facades and sheet metal assemblies as well as machinery in mechanical engineering and plant construction areas. As always, the components are made from igus tribo-optimised plastics that do not wear or corrode. They are maintenance free and offer a fit and forget solution.
