The Effect of Cat or Dog Ownership on Introversion/Extraversion Preference in Pet Owners Kyle Franke What does your pet

say about your personality? This experiment will determine whether or not owning a cat or dog affects whether or not an individual who owns a pet is extraverted, meaning he or she is more outgoing, assertive, and/or friendly, or introverted, meaning he or she is more solitary and/or introspective, and to what extent. The materials needed for this experiment will simply be a questionnaire that I will create, at least ten cat owners, at least ten dog owners, and at least ten non pet owners. I will give the questionnaire to each person. It will be at least 10 questions long and at most 25 questions long (multiple choice only), and the questions will gauge introversion/extraversion preference. This experiment's results will be whether or not a person has a slight, moderate, or major preference of extraversion over introversion, or vice versa. However, it is possible that the results will show no connection between introversion/extraversion and pets at all. The results would be helpful to a person who would like to become more extraverted, or would like someone else to become more extraverted; for example, if the results showed that dog owners were likely to be more extraverted than cat owners, and a mother wanted her son to be extraverted, she could get him a dog.
