ALTERNATIVE FOR SPRAY DRYING FOR GRANULATION

Granulation of Component A is carried out in spray drying (SPD) followed by vibratory fluidized bed dryer (VFBD). 55% TS (total solid) Slurry is made by using component A powder and 2700 kg 3 /hr is fed to SPD with bottom temperature of 125C and air flow rate of 20000 m /hr with 280 C . Spray dryer contains pressure nozzle .Product contains 5% moisture after SPD and 1.5% moisture after VFBD. As granulation is made from Powder of same component and SPD is energy intensified, new thought can be given to produce granulation by some other cost effective method.
