1. INTRODUCTION

As our life styles changes the demands for some items are increased accordingly. Similarly there is high demand for natural mussel shells tiles in luxurious villas and homes in India and countries in abroad. Utilizing this situation, our nation can create high employment opportunities as well as entrepreneurship opportunities. Regarding the subject, an eminent pearl culturist from Kerala, Mr. Mathachan developed a new technology to make tiles out of dead green mussel shells after years of rigorous research and development. Green mussels are growing in coastal area especially in the rock in the sea. Now the people are started to grow and cultivating the same in the lake. The meat of the green mussels are using as sea food because it is rich in vitamins, minerals, protein and carbohydrates by avoiding shell. We collected dead shell from waste of sea food processing plant , shells are cleaned ,crushed and set by hand in a clear ,resilient epoxy resin because no pollution no radiation specially dozing and color full life stage. In Kerala town such shells are throwing out and becoming waste and useless. Mr. Mathachan, from his experience and research, understood that shells can be utilized by developing it as a value added product. By utilizing the technology ,the shell are processed and then manufacture tiles .these tiles are eco- friendly natural and color will not fade or damaged .its colour is beautiful and shining capacity since it is natural by commencing industrial production, it can generate employment opportunities and can earn money. These tiles have high demand in abroad especially from Middle East countries. In India, these tiles are using in door panels, wall panels, furniture, devotionary pictures, art pictures, modern design ,interior decoration etc. Indian council of agriculture research program on national farm innovation meet-2010 held at JSS krishi vigyan Kendra, suttur, Mysore during 12th November 2010 is an encouragement for reshaping the farmer oriented farm technologies across the country he attended that program. 4

2. LAND, LOCATION AND BUILDING

The company is located at malakkllu in the high range town situated on the situated on the side of Kanhangad-Panathur State Highway. The location is served with all infrastructural facilities. The promoter of the proposed project Mr.Mathachan.K.J, Kaduthodil, Malakkllu Post, Kasaragod District. Mr.Mathachan is conducted a detailed research in connection with the project and developed the same for manufacturing of mussels artistic shells tiles. He is expert in Pearl culturing and he is having a very good laboratory at Malakkllu for conducting research in connection with Pearl and Mussels shell. He is having a lot of knowledge regarding the Pearl culturing. He is traveled a lot in different parts of India and foreign countries for studying about the project.

3. THE PROMOTOR AND THE MANAGEMENT

The promoter of the proposed project Mr.Mathachan.K.J, Kaduthodil, Malakkllu Post, Kasaragod District. Mr.Mathachan is conducted a detailed research in connection with the project and developed the same for manufacturing of mussels shells tiles. He is expert in Pearl culturing and he is having a very good laboratory at Malakkal for conducting research in connection with Pearl and Mussels shell. He is having a lot of knowledge regarding the Pearl culturing. He is traveled a lot in different parts of India and foreign countries for studying about the project. We promote the technology developed id very simple and training in rural development to motivate the agriculturist for adopting modern practice in agriculture.

4. MARKET ANALYSIS
The mussel shell is the symbol of beauty since the demand increasing day by day. The demands for some items are increased accordingly. Similarly there is high demand for natural mussel shells tiles in luxurious villas and homes in India and countries in abroad. 5
