Gumarcaaj is located in the department of Quiche, Guatemala. 3. Yaxha, Topoxte, Tikal, Tamarindito, Quirigua, Piedras Negras, Mixco and Kaminaljuyu. 4. Pedro de Alvarado was the leader of the spanish conquistadors. 5. Tecun Uman was a great warrior and last leader of the Maya-Quiche civilization in Guatemala. 6. Justo Rufino Barrios was a military and political Guatemalan, he was President of Guatemala from 1873 to 1885. 7. The building received that name because he was the creator of this instituion. 8. Alvaro Arzu was the president when the peace agreements was signed. 9. The requirements are having Guatemalan nationality, be an adult and be empadronado. 10. The next presidential election will be in 2016.

1. I think this period was called ten years of spring because there was a democratic period of free speech and open political activity. The presidents permitted free expression, legalized unions, encouraged social reform and the formation of political parties.
