BIOLOGY OF CANCER 15-BIO-656 Spring, 2012

INSTRUCTOR: Dr. Richard Karp TEXT: None CLASS TIME: M, W, F - 10:00-10:50 The purpose of the course is to present an overall survey of the biological basis for the group of diseases known as cancer. We will explore: what constitutes a cancerous growth; the causes and induction of cancer; the types of cancer; how natural defense systems deal with cancer, and what we know about the physiology and molecular basis of cancer.
