AMY FERGUSON INSTITUTE 2013 PRODUCTION PRO-

son Community Operas November 2013 production are

choice to the Amy Ferguson Institute Production Commit-

LATE FRENCH IMMERSION PROGRAM
Information Session January 30, 2013

School District 8 (Kootenay Lake) is very pleased to be able to
offer a Late French Immersion Program for up to sixty students
entering grade 6 in the 2013-2014 school year. The Program
is located at Trafalgar Middle School for grades 6-8, and
continues for grades 9-12 at L.V. Rogers Secondary School.

The Late French Immersion Program is an educational
program in which a child whose first language is not

Parents, guardians and students who may be interested in
pursuing a French Immersion educational program are invited
to an Information Session. The purpose of this meeting will be
to share information about the program and the application
process.

Late French Immersion Program will be made available at the
Information Session on January 30, 2013 and posted on the
District Website thereafter.

No applications for the Program will be accepted prior to
9:00 AM, February 15, 2013. This will allow families to decide
whether the program suits the needs of their child. It will also
allow all applicants to be familiar with the application process
either through attendance at the Information Session, or
through reading the information on the website.

Greyhound Reduces Service
On Major BC Routes
Te Greyhound says it is losing more than $14 million
on its passenger service in BC, citing higher costs for fuel
and maintenance, an infexible provincial regulatory re-
gime and reduced ridership.
Greyhound also says BC transit and bus services pro-
vided by the Interior and Northern health authorities are
competing with it.
Te company says it needs to save $6.75 million to keep
operating.
Greyhound wont abandon any routes except for a sea-
sonal ski route on Vancouver Island, but does plan to cut
service on the following 15 routes:
Alberta Vancouver (Highway 1).
Kelowna Penticton.
Vancouver Rock Creek.
Kelowna Alberta (Highway 3).
Prince George Vancouver.
Alberta Dawson Creek (Highway 2).
Dawson Creek Fort Nelson.
Dawson Creek Prince George.
Prince George Ft. St. James.
Prince Rupert Prince George.
Alberta Vancouver (Highway 16).
Kelowna Vancouver.
Vancouver Mt. Currie.
Victoria Nanaimo.
Nanaimo Campbell River.
