If you are new to SCNO this semester, what are you hoping to gain from the experience?

Nonprofit X is a small, nonprofit based in Nashville that is committed to improving childhood literacy among elementary school students. They achieve this through raising money to increase the number of age-appropriate books in low-performing elementary schools in Metro Nashville Public Schools. Nonprofit X is hoping to raise $10,000 in order to place books in an additional 200 classrooms. Your team is asked to develop an effective marketing and fundraising strategy to help the organization reach its goal of $10,000.

3.a. What three questions would be most important to ask your client in the initial meeting?

3.b. What factors would you consider in determining the effectiveness of a potential solution (i.e. how would you know that your fundraising/marketing strategy for your client was successful)?

Please answer the following question only if you are interested in being a team leader. Being a team leader requires a significant time commitment. Team leaders will be responsible for overseeing individual contributions and they will serve as the primary contact person for your partner organization. Additionally, all team leaders will be responsible for meeting with our Vice President of Internal Operations, Diana Whitmore, on a regular basis to report on team progress.
