Introduction: This organization is for promoting and preserving the western performance horse. Stock Horse of Dixie is a chapter of the American Stock Horse Association www.americanstockhorse.org. The goal of both the parent organization and the SHOD chapter is simply Helping People Ride a Better Horse. This is achieved through clinics with top industry leaders. The clinics are affordable, fun and educational allowing the members to receive top-notch instruction on the first day and show their horse, utilizing the knowledge gained, the following day. SHOD History: Stock Horse of Dixie (SHOD) is a new chapter with the ASHA. Our goal is to have two or three shows this year along with a futurity at the end of the season. We hope, to pull competitors from Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee. Currently, our shows will be held at Southeastern Arena in Unadilla, Ga. http://www.southeasternarena.com .The first show will take place on the weekend of April 12-14th. Competitors of any age, at any riding level and with any breed of horse are welcome to attend.
