About This Book

The aim of this book is to giving guidelines for fixing the Genuine Error occurring in Windows XP operating system. I want to share one interesting matter related to this book. I have a laptop with Windows XP operating system once I have connected my laptop to the Internet then my system being hang due to this genuine error. Then I have searched in the Internet for a solution to this problem the result is not full satisfied. I have searching many websites for reference finally I got a simple method by myself to solving this problem in 14 steps. That solution for that problem giving confidence to write this book.

14 Steps for fixing the genuine error Step 1:-

This is the window that is affected by genuine error.

Step 2:-

Goto the following directory My ComputerC:\WINDOWS\system32.

Step 3:-

Copy the file WgaTray and WgaLogon.dll from C:\WINDOWS\system32 and paste it in the Desktop.

Step 4:-

Then open Notepad from StartRuntype notepad.

Step 5:-

Drag WgaTray file into the Notepad then press Ctrl+A to select all.

Step 6:-

Delete the selected content and type anything then save by pressing the key Ctrl+S.

Step 7:-

Drag WgaLogon.dll file into the Notepad then press Ctrl+A to select all.

Step 8:-

Delete the selected content and type anything then save by pressing the key Ctrl+S.

Step 9:-

Then open C:\WINDOWS\system32 select the file WgaLogon.dll and rename it by pressing F2 key(For Example: rename as 111WgaLogon.dll).

Step 10:-

Also rename the file WgaTray by pressing F2 key(For Example: rename as 111WgaTray).

Step 11:-

Then goto Desktop and copy the files( WgaTray, WgaLogon.dll).

Step 12:-

Then open C:\WINDOWS\system32 and paste the copied files ( WgaTray, WgaLogon.dll) from the Desktop.

Step 13:-

This is the screenshot after pasting the files ( WgaTray, WgaLogon.dll ).

Step 14:-

Then close all the windows and goto the Desktop press ALT+F4Restart.
