Teachings and empowerments to be given in Prague

1. Profound teaching Self-liberation in the Primordial State through Peaceful and Wrathful Deities according to master Karma Lingpa (tib. zab chos zhi khro dgongs pa rang grol gyi dbang)

Zhitro (zhi khro), tibetan term, often translated as peaceful and wrathful deities, is the teaching given in the 8.century A.D. by Guru Padmasambhava to translator Chogro Lui Gyaltsen and was rediscovered by tertn Karma Lingpa (14.century) from mountain named Gampodar. Teachings on Self-liberation in the Primordial State through Peaceful and Wrathful Deities belongs to the three inner tantras Mahayoga, Anuyoga and Atiyoga. These teachings are especially linked to main tantra of Mahayoga, Guhyagarbha Tantra (tib.Sangwa nyingpo) even though the main principle is realization of primordial state of self-liberation (gongpa rangdrol). This cycle of teachings contains a text known in the West as Tibetan Book of Dead, more exactly Liberation in Intermediate State through Listening (bardo thdrol) and sadhanas connected to the mandalas of 42 peaceful and 58 wrathful deites. These teachings on various aspects of inetrmediate states, clarify experiences of this life, moment of death, and after death experiences. They point out nature of mind and explain process of dying, focusing especially on instructions on how to obtain liberation and put an end to cycle of rebirth in conditioned existence of samsara. From point of view of atiyoga, peaceful deities represent empty aspect of primordial state and wrathful deities represent its clarity or manifestation aspect. Shitro empowerment introduce the mandalas of one hundred peaceful and wrathful deities, which are embodiments of pure aspects of five aggregates (skandha) form, sensation, perception, mental formations, consciousness and five great elements (space, wind, fire, water and earth). In the process of dying all these aspects dissolve and after-death visions appear. Bardo teachings offer many instructions on how to recognize the nature of these appearances and how by recognizing essence of mind attain liberation in the moment of death or after death. Recieving shitro empowerment purifies defilements and negative karma of body, voice and mind and is considered as a powerful cause of liberation useful especially in the process of dying. In Tibet it was a custom to recieve shitro empowerment as many times as possible. Even though there are several transmission lineages of shitro cycles discovered by various tertns, shitro according to Karma Lingpa is considered one of the most extensive and complex. Complete translation of the whole cycle is available in English language. 2. Empowerment of Padmasambhava called Embodiment of Jewels discovered by master Jatshon
