Christmas Greetings from Japan

This year has been full of many celebrations and a great opportunity to look back and recognize that God has been faithful over the years. In November, Mom and Dad celebrated 50 years of ministry in Japan. Each season brings its own challenges but also Gods provision. God has supported our health in an amazing way.You have been faithful to support nancially and spiritually. I am daily caused to praise Him for both my and my parents health. In 2011, we had a record number of baptisms but this year baptism decisions have been few. This is discouraging but we see this as just the natural ebb and ow of ministry and church growth. The childrens ministry also continues to be frustrating. A ministry to mothers and children begun by the Japanese was not successful and was closed after only two months. This was a disappointment.

Despite of that God is particularly blessing as we train the next generation of leaders for the future church in Japan. The ladies ministry and park ministry have been extremely fruitful. God is also opening the door to international ministry. Please pray for us to have wisdom. Our December ministry plans include: 12/6,14 Ladies Christmas in Takatsuki + Kameoka 12/15-16 Concert at City Hall in Takatsuki 12/17-21 Literature distribution at area schools 12/22 Concert at the History Museum in Nara 12/22-23 Children Christmas in Takatsuki 12/23 Chinese Christmas 12/24 Caroling at hospitals and nursing homes New Years is a difcult for the Japanese Christians because of the idolatry pressures. Thank you for your part in this ministry over the years.
