Thank you to our students who participated in this year's Reflections Program. We had 30 wonderful and creative submissions, which made it challenging for our judges. It was hard to pick two winners from each grade, because everyone did a fantastic job. This is an optional National PTA Art Contest, and we at Sawyer Road Elementary PTA thank you for participating. The students listed below placed 1st or 2nd place in one of the Reflections Arts Category's. These Reflection winners will move on to the Marietta City School District round of judging. Our Sawyer Road students will have their pieces judged with the other winners from all schools in the Marietta City School District. Congratulations to our Reflection Winners!

The PTA is looking for parents who who would like to assume a leadership role on our Executive Board next year. Our current Board Officer's will be stepping down next year, to make room for new parents with new ideas and new skills.
Being on the Executive Board is a great way to make an invaluable contribution to the students and teachers at Sawyer Road. There are different positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary), so please consider serving on the Board. If you are interested in one of the officer positions, please email us.
PTA Mini-Grants For SRE Teachers The PTA offered our teacher's an opportunity to apply for a Teacher/Classroom Grant last month. There would be 2 - $150 winners and 4 - $100 winners. After all the submissions were received and reviewed, the winner's for the 1st semester SRE PTA Mini-Grants are: $150 - Mrs. Floryance & Ms. Wilson $100 - Ms. Heuvelmans, Ms. Scott, Dr. Gaines, Ms. Schicker

Grandparent Luncheon November 2 If you are a Grandparent or honorary Grandfriend of a Sawyer Road student, please join your student for lunch on Friday, November 2, during your student's lunch time (please check with your teacher if you are not sure when his/her class goes to lunch). The cost is $3.50 per adult lunch (cash only) and students eat free. Look for the event flyer in the Star Report.

REFLECTIONS 2012 MAGIC OF A MOMENT

Gracias a nuestros estudiantes que participaron en el programa de este ao Reflections. Tuvimos 30 presentaciones maravillosas, creativa y personal, lo que haca difcil para los jueces. Era difcil elegir dos ganadores de cada grado, porque todo el mundo ha hecho un trabajo fantstico. Esta es una opcin de la PTA Nacional Concurso de Arte, y nosotros en Sawyer Road Elementary gracias por participar. Los estudiantes se indican a continuacin coloca primero o segundo lugar en una de las reflexiones de las Artes Categora. Estos ganadores de reflexin pasar a la ronda Marietta Distrito Escolar de juzgar. El PTA est buscando padres a quienes les gustara asumir un papel de liderazgo en nuestro Consejo Ejecutivo el prximo ao. Nuestro Consejo actual se retirar el prximo ao, para dar paso a nuevos padres con nuevas ideas y nuevas habilidades. Formar parte del Consejo Ejecutivo es una gran manera de hacer una contribucin muy grande a los estudiantes y profesores de Sawyer Road. Hay cargos diferentes (Presidente, Vicepresidente, Tesorero, Secretario), as que por favor considere servir en el Consejo. PTA Mini-Grants For SRE Teachers El PTA ofreci a nuestros maestros la oportunidad de presentarse para una Beca Profesor/aula en el mes de Septiembre.
