A music magazine is a magazine which concentrates music and music culture.

It shows a main image of a music star which straight away shows you it is a music magazine.

It gives a quote from Kanye West describing the type of genre that the music magazine is about. This suggests to the audience it will be included in the magazine.

2. What content (text/copy/writing/articles/stories) would you expect to find in a music magazine?

The content you would expect to find in a music magazine would be information about bands, tours and new releases. You would expect to find interviews with artists about new singles. Also expected would be the chart and latest downloads of the week that people are most enjoying. Fashion news could be included and speaking about what the Artists do in their own time.

This includes an interview from an Artist which is most likely about her new music which has certain lyrics in that she is defending saying it is because she is honest.

3. What images would you expect to find in a music magazine?

In a music magazine you would expect to see images of front of new Albums that are being released and images of the artists that the magazine involves and has information about. The images also involved could be of a band playing in a concert.

4. Identify general characteristics/ Features that you would expect to find in all music magazines.
Main Image of an artist/band that relates to the magazines theme and to what will be involved. A masthead which is the title of the magazine which is positioned at the top generally taking up a fifth of the page showing you what the magazine is about. Coverlines are used on the front page giving you a hint to what is inside the magazine and what will the main stories is inside. A barcode has to be used to be scanned when it is bought so they therefore know it has been bought.

Distinct colour scheme shows the target audience who it is aimed at girls who are in to pop music.
The cover lines are spread out which show whats in the magazine, but it does make it look messy showing aimed at younger audience.

Banner is used which shows extras involved and like the main bands/artists/celebrities that have been included.
