here's how romney can destroy obama's line about rich people paying their fair s hare: he needs

to shift the focus from individuals paying taxes to the fed gov' t to what the fed gov't is actually doing with their money, and to a competition between the states and the fed gov't for that taxpayer money. If you like your governor and you like your mayors, don't you think they know better than the pr esident what the needs of their state and cities are and how best to use that ta xpayer money? I'll send your state that money, which in turn will reduce the de ficit since it'll cut a lot of gov't overhead and will reduce the number of bure aucrats with big salaries in washington. The question Obama should be asking isn't "are rich people in this country paying their fair share?, it's "is your state receiving it's fair share? There are some states who have governors that are more responsible and fiscally responsible than others (compare the gov of Oh io vs the gov of California), yet they're getting equal amounts of taxpayer mone y and in the case of the stimulus, the liberal states and the states with unions actually got more of that money. If you wanna talk about fairness Mr. Presiden t, wouldn't it be fairer for the states that have lived within their means and s aved their citizens money to get more of that money back so they can use it for their specific needs instead of more of their money going to the fed gov't who t hen sends more of it to the states who wasted money and acted irresponsibly like Cali and Illinois? Wouldn't it be fairer for a state that created jobs and bal anced its budget to get that money instead of it being sent to Solyndra, Unions, and many wasteful programs? That was the genius of the Founding Fathers, that they set up our gov't so that the states would have more power than the fed gov' t, and that the fed gov't couldn't usurp its power and create laws that violated the freedoms of the states to put in place their own unique laws. It's time to replace the president's rhetoric with reality and replace symbolic gestures of fairness with policies that produce fair results for our states and for our peop le.
