Dulaw Ya-us fiance. Whom fall in love to Dulliyaw. Ya-u Dulaws fianc Dulliyaw a man who falls in love to Dulaw. Father of Banna. Dinanaw mother of Banna. The woman that bathed in a river and whom found the betel nut. Banna the son of Dinanaw and Dulliyaw. the fearless warrior, the most celebrated hero. He is the one who kills Dullaw.
Settings
Madogyaya where Dulaw and Ya-u follow a betel nut to a feast. Sakbawan the place of imprisonment of Dulliyaw and Dulaw Dulawon where the villagers is transported and feast.
Summary
The story began with the wedding scheduled by Ya-u and Dulaw. They follow betelnut to a feast in Madogayaya, where Dulliyaw of Dulawon falls inlove with Dulaw. He intoxicates Ya-u, and while Ya-u is sleeping, he makes Dulaw chew a slice of his betel nut. He informs her that she has just accepted his marriage proposal by sharing his nut, and he promises to come for her the following night. Dulliyaw does so, but a cock crow awakens the villager. Dulliyaw leaves and kills a man. The villagers pursue him, but he eludes them by climbing a tree. Ya-u calls on the Spanish soldiers of sakbawan to arresr Dulliyaw. The soldiers capture Dulliyaw and Dulaw, and they improsin the two in Sakbawan Three years later, Dulliyaw gives Dulaw another slice of betel nut. But the slice vanishes and reappears in Magobya to Dinanaw, a maiden, after she has bathed in a river. She chews it and becomes pregnant. Three years later, she gives birth to Banna. The friend of Banna tell him that he is the son of the prisoner Dulliyaw, but his mother denies it. Another three years pass; and Banna now a young man, and his companions are transported to Sakbawan. Banna kills Dulaw, but his companionship tells him that Dulliyaw is his father and son return to Magobya riding a beam of light. Banna tells her mother that the man is his father. She accepts Dulliyaws offer of
betel nut, and they rejoice. The next day, the entire village of Magobya is transported to Dulawon where the villagers feast.
accomplished even that, Banna marries Dinayaw, and Dungdungan is invited to the feast. Dungdungan is offered Bagital-yawon, Bannas sister, whom readily accepts.
