Pandaboard-ES Device Manual

This main objective of this document is to describe about the installation and configuring the Pandaboard-ES Device. It provides usage guide for unpacking, installation and operation.

1. Unpacking and Installation


Note: Take special care of the LCDs Touchscreen connector

Connect the given USB cable provided for touchscreen support. Connect only 2 USB inputs at a time. Connect mouse and keyboard for initial configuration.

2. Configuring Device

Note : Before application is to be shown for demo, make sure the device has a working internet connection and the configuration file for D-Patch is updated. The UOS-Resource Store application will launch on startup. Close it and right-click on the desktop. Open the d-patch.xml file and make appropriate changes.

Windows Thinclient: For Windows RDP, there is setting in <rdpipPort> tags. The application icons are stored in /usr/dpatch/images directory. However, you can set the complete path here. Copy the icon files on the device and give its complete path as specified in the tags. See image below.

Configuring Network: Goto Debian > Applications > System > Administration > Gnome Control Center. Click on Network icon and configure available Network accordingly.

Check date of the system through date command. If it incorrect, set it through command #date --set=06 Sep 2012 20:30 The application is in /usr/d-patch/ folder named as ResourceStore. Run it as ./ResourceStore
