Hala Madrid!

There are few things better in the world when your favorite team beats its eternal rivals in the Cup Final. For all those who have not had this experience, I have to say you guys are missing out on something quite special. And for those who are confused I dont blame you. Real Madrid just beat Barcelona 1-0 in the Copa Del Rey Final tonight. Woohooo!!!!

How much I wish I was in Estadio Mestalla, Valencia tonight. I wanted to be there when Cristiano Ronaldo scored that fantastic header past Jose Pinto. I wanted to see the disappointed faces of the Barcelona players when the match ended. But most importantly I would have loved to have seen my favorite team in the world, Real Madrid lift the famous trophy.

I am a mess right now. I dont even know what Im writing. Im happy, overjoyed, cheerful, captivated, upbeat. There are no words which can describe my feelings at this moment. It is always an extraordinary occasion when there is El Clasico. But some background must be given to explain the significance of this win. This is already the third time that both teams have met. The first time Barcelona beat Real Madrid 50(A night that I would like to forget). The second time they drew 1-1. The third time was the charm for us I guess.

Coming in this match, we were huge underdogs. But who doesnt love an underdog beating the best team in the world especially one who are considered to be the best soccer team ever. With players like Messi, Xavi and Iniesta on their squad even I had doubts whether or not we could pull this one off. Nonetheless, Im loving it!! Man, I dont want to jinx it but if we continue this form, Real Madrid can definitely beat Barcelona in the semi final and win the Uefa Champions League in the Final.
