Ikitelli Organzed Industrial Zone, located on the land of nearly 700 hectares and comprise of 38 industrial co-ops ,30 thousand working places and a workplace of 300 thousand people ,is the biggest and well-known industrial centre in Turkey in point of production capacity and number of hosted workplaces. Ikitelli Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) was established in 1984 by the chief executive of the trade chambers affiliated to stanbul Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen and directors of sub-industry commerce associations.Although t was founded in 1984,the field became more important in 1990s after the construction work was completed. Nihat Tunal, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of Ikitelli OIZ, stated that Ikitelli Organized Industrial Zone became the biggest and the most important ndustrial zone in Turkey with ts increasing production capacity,easily finding the goods you are looking for and also selling products right there. Additionally Tunal emphasized that yearly exportation, contributes greatly to the countrys growth through both the added value and the employment chances it creates. Annual export amounts to about 4 bllon dollars, with this number IOSB is the biggest industrial zone in Turkey and Europe.
