Importing a language into SAP: Logon and call transaction SMLT

Click the Classify Language button

Select the appropriate language and click Save (Do NOT specify a Supplementation Language yet)

Click the Import Language icon next to the newly classified language

In the Path field, enter the path to the language package and click Find Package(s)

Select the found package and click Execute

Answer Yes

The import is started

To monitor the import, click on the Transport Logs icon

And expand the selection

After the import is complete, you can view the action log to confirm the import was successful.

Now, call transaction RZ10 and edit the DEFAULT profile

Choose the Create Parameter button

Create parameter zcas/system_language with value EN

Create parameter zcsa/second_language with value EN

Create parameter zcsa/installed_languages with value DES

Save and activate the profile.

Now, back in SMLT, set English as the supplementation language for the newly installed language

And save

Now click the Supplement Language icon

Enter a description for the supplementation and click Execute

Confirm that you want to execute the supplementation by clicking Yes

You can monitor the supplementation job via SM37

Once complete, you can see the status in SMLT

Now, go to SE38 and execute program RSCPINST

Click Add and insert ES for Spanish.

Then click Activate

Click Yes.
