Kristi Lundrigan sat at her scrubbed oak breakfast table and stared out the window at what was usually a serene view of Montana’s Absaroka Mountain range. But this morning, the scene was anything but calm; it was downright worrisome. A storm overnight had produced lightning, which had kindled a fire in Garnet Canyon, which led straight down Garnet Creek and into the Paradise Valley town of Garnet Gateway… and Kristi’s home.
Situated as her home was on the eastern edge of town, Kristi had a clear view of the black clouds billowing up from the canyon.
