- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This book is very strange, it sounds like it’s been run through Google Translate several times (which is very odd because surely given the subject matter it would have been written by someone with English as a first language?). But worse than that, some of the advice is bizarre, to put it mildly. “Avoid frying”? “Use skimmed milk if at all possible”? “Avoid lard at all costs”?
The 1980s want their recipe book back! Terrible. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Not a true keto book. Poorly translated from another language. It warns against keto staples- fasting, saturated fats- and encourages not skipping breakfast, eat lots of fiber, use seed oils instead of animal fats.
Focuses on the Mediterranean diet. Recipes are hard to read. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very on point with the knowledge of Keto, Gluten, and Dairy Free! Glad to see the recipes are easy to follow and everything I have made so far is delicious! It had a lot of recipes in it that I have never thought of. It is a great book for starting keto. I am very happy with this book. I was please to see so many recipes that were easy to follow. I have made only a few so far but look forward to many more.

Too often I get a cookbook and there are maybe two or three recipes I would actually make. This book I could see myself making almost every single one.

The writing is educational, engaging and entertaining and provides details about the science behind the Mediterranean Diet. The recipes look delicious and I like the variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Example: Tender and Spicy Flank Steak 1.6g carbs; 52g protein. The 52 is the protein. My question is, are the carbs listed net ot total? This isn't loaded with pictures of any of the dishes, I love that it didn't waste paper at ALL in that way. It has an index at the beginning making it super easy to plan the meals
