    A cocktail of squid and cuttlefish produced a 27lb cod for Ian Leese, of Chalgrove, Oxfordshire, while fishing The Needles, Isle of Wight, on Rob Thompson’s Shogun, out of Lymington, Hampshire.

    There was a 25lb 8oz cod caught out of Newhaven, East Sussex, by Mark Roberts, from Surrey, while aboard Alan Britton’s Silver Fox.

    Crawley SAC treasurer Justin Chandler, from Sussex, was surprised when he reeled in a 64cm Ray’s bream while fishing for flatfish with lug and squid baits
