The rise of VEGANISM

Since its conception in 2014, Veganuary has come top of many New Year’s resolution lists. The campaign, asking people to eat a plant-based diet for all of January, has soared in popularity, with more than one million people all over the world signing up. In Britain, the number of vegans quadrupled between 2014 and 2019. Now, they make up more than 1% of the population and the UK’s purchase and consumption of vegan ingredients are some of the highest in Europe.
