    She thought the cutting would make Him leave, that He would be disappointed in His beautiful one and not be able to watch her in her brokenness, but He stayed, He lingered, and He waited. He waited until she had come to the end of herself, where she had no fight left to fight. She knew what He was there for but could she give it to Him? She knew He could take her pain away, but He wanted not only to take away her pain, but also to take away what was causing the pain. He wanted her blade.

     

    I was deeply lost in a world of self-harm and mutilation, not knowing my value and worth. Only through God's mercy was I able to release The Wrong Blade into His hands and take hold of the right blade, the sword of the Lord – the Word of God. With this in hand, I built myself back up again and finally learned the truth. His Word became my strength as I fought the lies, destructive behaviour, and the darkness that surrounded me. I had exchanged my weapon of harm for God's weapon to help and to heal. His sword was what would win the fight with; His Word confronted every lie, and changed all I believed to be true. He took me from nothing to something, from chaos to conquering, and built me from my weakness into a warrior. He was the One that transformed me, the One that rescued me, and the One that healed my heart. Freedom from self-harm came from Him and from nothing else; my scars were healed, my behaviour was changed, and The Wrong Blade was surrendered forever – all thanks to Him.

      INTRODUCTION

      On 31st October 2013 I found myself in America pursuing the dream to work in women’s ministry, but on that day, God was saying something completely different.

      He said, ‘I want you to start writing books.’

      I had never written a book in my life or even saw myself as a writer, but in my heart, I already had 19 outlines and titles for books that the Holy Spirit had been talking to me about.

      I asked God, ‘How do I write 19 books?’

      And His answer was, ‘Just start!’

      So, I went to my local coffee shop and put pen to paper. The books seemed to come together really quickly and soon I had completed one, then two, then three, and I got to be the first recipient of a book that I didn’t even remember writing. Upon reading it, it seemed as if I was reading it for the very first time, and every book has been like that since.

      So, be on the lookout for more books to come from

      The Logan Series as He continues to ask me to write.

      The Wrong Blade is a book to encourage those struggling with self-harm and destructive tendencies. It shares a story of submission to God, releasing The Wrong Blade into His hands, picking up the Sword of the Spirit - the Word of God, and learning how to use the weapon He has given us to transform our minds and change our behaviours. Throughout this book, allow Him to speak to your heart and share His love for you. He has a solution for every pain and desires to see you walking in the freedom that He has already paid for. Release the blade, take hold of your freedom, and rise as a champion.

      I hope you feel encouraged and inspired by this book and that it points you only to Him, the one who loves you enough to ask me to write it. Let it do the work in you that He wants it to do, and please reach out and let us know what God has done throughout this book.
