For some of these recipes, the directions will call for a single or double 9” unbaked pie crust.

You may already have one that you prefer, but just in case, I have included a simple pie crust recipe that is easy to follow and doesn’t require too many ingredients.

My preference is the homemade pie crust, but if you are short on time, then you can purchase dough that comes pre-rolled to place in your pie plate.

Pinching the edges of the two crusts together for those recipes that require a double pie crust will create a lovely swirl around the edges, but you can also experiment with small markings on the top of the pie and intricate designs for the steam holes.

Enjoy the baking process and what I always find to be the best part, eating your creation!

This gave her the perfect way to share her skill with the world; writing cookbooks to spread the message that fresh, healthy food really can, and does, taste delicious. Now that she is a mother, it is more important than ever to make sure that healthy food is available to the next generation. She hopes to become a household name in cookbooks for her delicious recipes, and healthy outlook.Martha is now living in California with her high school sweetheart, and now husband, John, as well as their infant daughter Isabel, and two dogs; Daisy and Sandy. She is a stay at home mom, who is very much looking forward to expanding their family in the next few years to give their daughter some siblings. She enjoys cooking with, and for, her family and friends, and is waiting impatiently for the day she can start cooking with her daughter.

The 'Easy as Pie' Cookbook - Martha Stephenson

You can always tell the moment your creation has taken the turn from unbaked filling and dough to a beautiful dessert you can serve with pride. The smell becomes potent and stays with you, warming the belly, mind, and soul. I love my pie cold with a big scoop of ice cream, but the beauty of this versatile dessert is that you can have it warm, hot, with or without garnishes or cold from the refrigerator and it always tastes delicious.

Unbaked Single Pie Crust

As mentioned previously, this is the one included recipe for a simple base when the recipe calls for an unbaked pie crust. There are many variations of pie crust recipes available to you including the pre-made rolls of dough you can pick up at the grocery store.
