I wanted to write an appetizer recipe book that dealt specifically with spreads and dips. There are so many variations of these pre-meal dishes which is why I chose to share 30 of my favorites for you to try. All of these recipes are quick to prepare, but you should read through each carefully because some require a chilling period of a few hours. Some of these appetizers taste even better when you chill them overnight so that the ingredients can fuse together and become more flavorful.

When I start creating a menu for a get-together, I like to create as wide a variety of different foods and flavors as possible. The last thing I want is an overload of one particular type of meat or cheese. If steak is your entr?e, then you might not want to serve cocktail weenies or beef sliders, but stick to fish and chicken. This book contains spreads and dips that will complement any entr?e and have your guests clamoring for more. Hopefully, everyone will still have room for the main course and dessert!
