About this ebook
Losing weight can seem like a mountain in front of you that is too difficult to climb. There is fear of hunger, grief for food you can't eat, impatience because you want to be slim NOW and worry because of failing yourself, or others, yet again. You want to wake up in the morning and be slim, yet because you know that cannot happen, you dither about making the decision to take that first step onto the mountain and start your journey. You've probably been telling yourself you will do it at some point in the future, but it never happens and you continue your search for some miraculous way for you to be slim.
There are no miracles for weight loss - not anywhere. This book will help you start and continue your journey to lose it - slowly and for good!
This book will teach you to totally re-evaluate your self, your body and your relationship with food. You will learn how to understand your own body rhythms and requirements for nutrition, so that you naturally eat when your BODY requires food, rather than eating because your MIND tells you to. You will see all the wonderful foods you can eat and learn how to understand your own body, so that you know how much to feed the individual, highly complex machine that your body is.
You are going to shift your body from an upward spiral of weight gain to a downward spiral of weight loss, so that you can just happily get on with your life, knowing your weight is slowly decreasing, rather than slowly increasing. There is a task in the book which is very important to the decision you are finally going to make about getting the weight off.
Thin Thoughts For Life will also show you how to feed your children properly, from a nutritional point of view, with food they will like. It discusses sex, when overweight and when slim, acupuncture, vitamin supplementation, the psychological aspects of constant dieting and binge eating. It encourages people to buy locally produced fresh food where possible. There are some interesting recipes.
This book is certainly not a diet book, but instead teaches people respect for great tasting healthy food and the positive results of eating the right kind of food, in correct quantities for their individual bodies. Thin Thoughts For Life will help you get back in control of your body, mind, thoughts and your attitude to food, so that you can finally lose that weight.
Under all that extra weight is the slim, sexy you - the you before you gained that weight. Fiona was able to find herself again and she can help you find yourself again too. A "must read" for anyone who has weight problems.

For everyone in the world wanting to lose weight.
Introduction
Change the way you feel before the way you look
So you're wanting to lose weight otherwise you wouldn't be reading this. Have you really decided that enough is enough and you long to be the smaller version of yourself that you once were? Are you wanting to lose the weight, but are frightened of being hungry, or perhaps de-motivated because you've already tried so many diets? The first thing you need to do is not make a decision to do anything until you have read the entire book and done the self-assessment test within it. When you have read the book and done the test, it will enable you to see that the decisions you're now going to make will allow you to move comfortably into weight loss, instead of weight gain. This book is not about being On A Diet
– I know they don't work because I, too have tried diets and they never worked for me. What I did changed my body back to being slim again and I have kept that weight off for eight years now. The book is dedicated to everyone who wants the chance to get slim again. This book will help you change your total outlook and attitude to food, your body and how you feel about yourself. It is this changing of mental attitudes that will allow you, with discipline, to eat what you enjoy and is good for you and lose weight. Yes, there are restrictions of certain foods, but here you will learn that it's possible to re-train your desire and you will no longer want to eat the food that is making you fat.
The question is whether you will try. If you have picked this book up, you probably need to lose weight. How long has it taken you to gain that weight? How long have you been knowingly eating the wrong things? All your life? A few years? You didn't gain all your weight in a few months, unless it's happened as a result of medication, so you're not going to lose it all in a couple of months. You need to understand that it will be a slow process. Yes, once you decide you're going to do something about your excess weight, you want it to happen quickly – that's just human nature, but you need to be patient because when you lose it slowly through eating the right foods and quantities of food for your body, you will say goodbye to that excess weight forever.
You have been on an upward spiral of weight gain, and what this book will teach you to do, is to start a downward spiral of weight loss. You are just reversing your eating habits so that instead of it slowly piling on, it will slowly come off. If you want to lose weight quickly, this won't work for you because it is not a diet, it is a complete and lifelong acceptance, through the decisions you will make after reading the book, of eating what is good for you. You will lose the weight and be able to keep it off. You will not feel as if you have given anything up. How do I know this? Because eight years ago I had 38lbs to lose, which on a 5' 2" small frame is a lot of excess weight. I had been on every diet under the sun, but was still overweight and miserable. I lost the weight and have kept it off and I want to help you to do the same.
The benefits of being slim
Have you ever noticed when perhaps you're in love, or feeling great about yourself, happy, positive and on top of the world, how other people look at you? Have you felt like that recently? Not easy when you are disgusted with your size and ashamed of your body. You are the only one who can change this. Losing weight will mean your health will improve, but most of all it means you will improve because you will gain back your sense of self worth as an individual. It will be a huge sense of accomplishment-something you have done for yourself, by yourself. It will also be something you will want to hang onto forever. Whether you're single or married, you are going to be more attractive and sexier to others when you're not overweight. Your general health will improve and you will not be so susceptible to the diseases associated with obesity, so you may well prolong your life. We all know that we require exercise, but this is not easy when you're carrying around a few extra kilos of weight, so when that goes, exercise will be easier for you. No matter how overweight you are, we all have to start from somewhere and that somewhere is you making the decision to change your body.
You were not born overweight and the reason you are now is that you have been using the wrong fuel in the body that's your machine. Not only have you been using the wrong fuel, but you have been overdosing on the amount your machine needs to use. This is what has caused the problem. You have got to get off the dieter's hamster wheel and stop obsessing about food. When you learn to understand the relationship your body has with food, you will realise that eating, first and foremost is about being healthy and secondly for pleasure. What you have been doing is focusing purely on the pleasure, without even a thought about the real reason you should be eating anything at all. If you want to lose weight, you simply need to learn what food you should be eating and how much of it. In order to be comfortable and getting on with your life. When you learn to do this, without hardship, eating the right portions for your body frame and lifestyle, your body will start to change. You will be taking the strain off your body that it had carrying around all those excess pounds. You will fit into and look great wearing tight jeans. When you get dressed up to go out you will know you look the best you possibly can and life will start to happen as it's meant to. You will no longer be possessed by this desperate obsession with food – you are now free.
Having got out of the 'dieter's yo yo cycle,' my mind, with it's knowledge of what will bring me either pain or pleasure, now dictates what I eat, based on that knowledge. I
