Introduction
The principles of the Enneagram have been said to be around since ancient history. Its roots can be traced back to around 4,500 years ago, in Babylon. It has also been said to have added its influence from the Jewish Kabbalah movement, Christian mysticism, and even Sufism, a mystical form of Islam. Enneagram character types were also strongly featured in Dante’s The Divine Comedy by the mapping out of each of the characters’ personal growth and transformation in the poem. George Ivanovich Gurdjieff first introduced the Enneagram methodology to his students in the 1930s. He was a spiritual teacher and introduced it as a spiritual symbol. Today, researchers
