      CHAPTER ONE

      THE ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE ANOINTING

      It retrospect to the exegetical analysis of the substance of the anointing, it has been observed that dozens of believers have faltered in their Christian walk because of failure to understand how the anointing of the Holy Spirit operates. Since Christianity is a journey into the dimension of the spirit, we ought to understand holistically how the anointing operates so that we can effectively move, function and operate in that realm. In other words, if we wish to move mightily in the realm of the anointing without failures, mistakes, confusion or disappointments, we ought to study and understand the anatomy and physiology of the anointing which connotes to the scientific study of the anointing in terms of its genetic makeup, inherent properties and the character of its manifestation. As illustrated in my second book on the anointing titled, "Deeper Revelations of The Anointing", there are more than 70 different types of the anointing whose biological constitution and character of manifestation differs. An investigation of each type of anointing causes us to have a better understanding of how it manifests, in terms of its inflow and outflow.

      What Is the Anatomy And Physiology Of The Anointing?

      The anatomy and physiology of the anointing alludes to study and analysis of the biological constitution and structure of the anointing. In other words, it connotes to the microscopic analysis, diagnosis and investigation of the inherent contents and ingredients of the substance of the anointing. In scientific terms, it is a structured and organized attempt to understand the chemistry and physics behind these manifestations of the anointing. The words anatomy and physiology as used in this publication are derived from science, which simply connote to the structure, composition and make-up of the anointing. I have chosen to make use of this terminology in the presentation of this book because we can use natural phenomena to understand the things of the spirit. For example, there are some features of the anointing that are tied up in the way wind operates. John the apostle, unveils the truth that the way the Spirit operates is similar to how wind functions. The Greek word for wind, pneuma is the same word used for spirit. That means, the spirit and wind have the same properties. By examining how wind operates in the natural realm, we can learn some of the features and attributes of the anointing.

        There are various substances or natural phenomena which can be used in the analogy of the anointing, to demonstrate explicitly how the anointing flows in the supernatural realm. This is because there are certain divine truths that can be best illustrated, explained and understood with reference to physical phenomena. The Bible attests in Hebrews 11:1 that the things which are in the natural are a shadow, copy or exact representation of the things which are in the supernatural. This means that if we have to catch a glimpse of how things are in the supernatural realm, it is always best that we look into the order of things in the natural realm. Hence, in an endeavor to reinforce a significant understanding of spiritual phenomena, it is always wise to illustrate them with reference to physical phenomena which people are acclimatized to. It is for this reason that in this book, I have made reference to physical phenomenon and scientific processes to try and explain the phenomenon of the anointing.

      The Technology of The Anointing

      There is what in the realm of the anointing is called the Technology of the anointing. This is simply a scientific analysis and diagnosis of the anointing in terms of its chemical composition. Why the term Technology of the anointing? Because technology is a type of scientific knowledge that is gained by observation, proven by experimentation and refined by classification. In the natural realm, the most commonly accepted form of evidence for proving the existence of something is empirical evidence, which involves using the scientific method of observation and experimentation. This is a typical scenario of how the spirit realm in which the anointing is derived operates. It is important to understand that there is a spirit world that exists in parallel with our physical world. Our physical world and the spirit world are intricately linked and interwoven like seamless threads knitted meticulously together, in such a way that what happens in one, directly affects what happens in the other. Did you know that most of the technology which the world is using today is actually derived from the spirit realm? What people call technology in the natural realm is actually a product of what has been divinely engineered in the spirit realm. The anointing is therefore a spiritual technology engineered in the supernatural realm as a sacred commodity to be placed upon those who are connected to God’s purpose.
