Hands up if you have clothes you never wear in your wardrobe. You’re not alone – most of us only wearIf it’s the fit, great – that’s an easy fix as you can take things in, let things out or change hemlines. But what if the style is wrong? Maybe you don’t like the collar, neckline or the position of the shoulders? This is where turning unworn clothes into beautiful ‘new’ ones. If you like V necks, change the neckline. If the shoulders are in the wrong place, re-position them. Add a frill, or remove sleeves. The possibilities are endless, and once you’ve built up your confidence you can unleash your inner designer, changing dresses into jumpsuits, trousers into skirts, coats into gilets. And don’t stop there – For me, converting clothes is a passion and just happens to be a part of the sustainable solution. The more we convert, the less we contribute to fashion’s environmental damage and – bonus points – we look and feel a zillion dollars in our bespoke clothes.
