    Preface

    Hamburgers, or burgers, are often referred to as a food in the form of bread sliced through the middle and inserted with a round slice of meat loaf / minced beef.

    To complement the flavor, the inside of the bread is usually smeared with butter, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, or mustard before adding the meat patty.

    True to its name, the Hamburger comes from the city of Hamburg, Germany and was introduced to the American population by an immigrant from Germany. Its popularity has spread from America's favorite food to become famous throughout the world.

    The burger we know today is already experiencing an awful lot of variety; it is not just minced beef, but can be a chicken, fish, and have eggs, cheese or a mixture of several different types of fillings, inserted in one burger.

    Just like with the bagel, a burger bun can be sprinkled with sesame seeds or other types of grain. Any size can be made smaller or larger than its original size, even in a country such as Japan; the burger bun is replaced by rice.
