Dedication
THIS BOOK IS DEDICATED in the loving memory of my grandmother, a woman of great strength and grace. Your love for family and people saw no boundaries... I gained a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from you throughout my teen years and carry that wisdom through to my adulthood. The recipes you taught me have fed and been enjoyed by a magnitude of people from all walks of life. Thank you for always being there to listen to my inquisitive questions and for your utmost love and devotion. I am truly grateful and blessed to have had you as my Nan.
Love always and forever,
Your granddaughter
C.F.
Acknowledgements
FIRST AND FOREMOST, I thank my beloved significant half, my Husband, you have always believed in me from the start. Your love and support is unconditional, thank you always for standing beside me throughout writing this book, and for all your guidance and vote of confidence.
A very special thank you to my Mum, for bringing me up believing that nothing is impossible in this world. Thank you, Mum, for sharing my happiness when starting this project and following with encouragement when it seemed too difficult to be completed. I would have probably given up without your support and example on what to do when you really want something.
About the Author
BORN AND RAISED IN Kenya and United Kingdom, Charlotte was able to learn from both worlds a great deal of culture and cuisine. My Grandmother and Mother both taught me a wealth of mouth-watering recipes which charlotte has been blessed to cook for my family and friends throughout the years.
Charlotte learnt how to cook at a tender age of 7 years old; with her inquisitive eyes observing her Mother bake her delicious chocolate cakes. Who doesn’t love a good chocolate cake, right? Precisely, she was smitten and wanted to learn this art which she remembers bringing her whole family together during mealtimes. By age 12, Charlotte had started cooking family meals and the rest is history......
Charlotte has been inspired to write this cookbook to share some delicious East African recipes passed down to her, so you too can enjoy these healthy and heartfelt scrumptious meals, cooked with love and passion. As the saying goes; Sharing is caring
