    Brussels sprouts with caramelized red onions

    Cooking Time: 30 m

    Servings: 6

    Ingredients

    1-1/2 red onions

    6 oz. butter

    1-1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar

    salt and pepper

    1-1/2 lbs Brussels sprouts

    Directions

    Step 1: Cut the onions into wedges and fry for 5-10 minutes in half of the butter on medium heat, until turn golden, but not burned.

    Step 2: Combine the salt, vinegar, and pepper to taste.

    Step 3: Reduce the heat and keeping sauté the onion while stirring. Set aside on a plate.

    Step 4: Wash and trim the brussel sprouts and cut in half. You can fry them whole if they are small.

    Step 5: Use the same frypan add more butter, place the brussel sprouts until they have turned a nice color and a little soft. Check by using a pin or knife. They're best served al dente.
